Location

Vanuatu is located to the east north east of Australia and west of Fiji . Vanuatu of consists of 83 small islands, situated in a Y-shaped archipelago

The capital of the Vanuatu and its administrative centre is Port Vila, which is situated on Efate Island . Some of the other main islands are Espirito Santo, Malekula and Tanna.

Vanuatu has communications with the rest of the world via telephone, telex, facsimile and the Internet. The capital Port Vila is served by four international airlines and the major courier companies.

Vanuatu ’s population of about 170,000 people is made up of 98% local Ni-Vanuatu with the rest being a mixture of expatriates and other pacific islanders. The Ni-Vanuatu are friendly and there is no racial or tribal disharmony.
